Biography.

   Marek Jasiński was born in 1976. Received his M.Sc.E.E. in 2000 (with distinction) and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Institute of Control and Industrial Electronics (ICIE), Warsaw University of Technology (WUT), Warsaw, Poland.
    Scientific activity he has started in 1999 at WUT as an Assistant-trainee in ICIE.
He is currently with the Institute of Control and Industrial Electronics, WUT. In 2006 he started research in a project of 6-th Framework Program UE. He was with Aalborg University, Institute of Energy Technology on Secondment from NorFA (2001).
He is an author of 35 papers. His current research cover: industrial electronics and drives control (DSP based PWM, fuzzy logic, sensorless algorithms), and renewable energy.
   Main directions of his scientific activities are focused on vector control of an AC/DC/AC converter back-to-back (with bidirectional power flow). All activities are connected with drives for asynchronous and synchronous machine with permanent magnets. Moreover, applications for alternative energy as an interface to the grid is investigated, too.
    Dr. Jasinski received the "ABB Prize 2006/2007" for his Ph.D, WUT Rector Team-Award 2007, a Paper Award at the Emerald-COMPEL EPNC 2004. He was a Scholar of Foundation for Polish Science (START program 2006).
